Big Spring Refinery-Community Relations
Big Spring, Texas
Alon and the Big Spring Refinery employees are active in the community, schools, and local charitable organizations. Alon’s commitment to education has enabled the Big Spring School District to build the Alon Technology Center where teachers and students receive training and conduct workshops. Our refinery has also been awarded the Employer Excellence Award from the Texas Workforce Development Board for being an exemplary employer and for contributions toward local development and corporate citizenship. We support numerous local charitable organizations, including:
- Boys and Girls Clubs of Big Spring
- Big Spring State Hospital
- Big Spring Symphony
- Heart Walk
- Howard County Fair
- Howard County United Way
- Pops in the Park
- Relay for Life
- Salvation Army
- Special Olympics
These are only a few of the important causes that Alon and the refinery employees support in Big Spring and Howard County. We are proud to live in and be a part of the West Texas community.
